My Brain, My Body is an educational tool for middle school
students, funded by the National
Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism and developed
by
CYKE, Inc.
This online resource draws upon the three-tiered inquiry
approach to science instruction, providing structured, guided,
and open inquiry activities that
are both age-appropriate and topic-specific.
Each level contains four lessons on alcohol, the brain, the
heart, and the liver. Supplemental videos, overhead transparencies,
and classroom
activities are also provided to accommodate a variety of teaching
styles.
Within My Brain, My Body, students will access unique and
creative activities that facilitate learning. Teachers will
discover a valuable resource that can be adapted to fit their
classroom needs and teaching
requirements.
